Amber Parker is a writer and obsessive doodler currently living and teaching in Daegu, South Korea. She received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Nonfiction from St. Mary’s College of California and recently left a publishing gig in Los Angeles to travel abroad. She is a lover of comics, cats, and k-pop. Her writing is often described as a meditation on mental illness, identity, and place. She has an essay published in the Portland Review, and she self-publishes tiny truths on her Instagram: amberisnotacrayon. She tweets @amburgerrz.
I love Virginia Woolf, Kazuo Ishiguro, Dorothy Allison, Jesmyn Ward, George Saunders, Larry Brown, Tim Gautreaux, Clarice Lispector, Kevin Barry, Nick Flynn, Julian Barnes, Jennifer Egan. My Goodreads is in constant chaos. I have stories in places including QWERTY and SmokeLong. I’m in the process of revising a novel. In lieu of flowers, please send good vibes.
